You can export your Campendium trip as a PDF or a GPX file — useful for printing a reference copy of your itinerary or transferring your route to an external GPS device.
Both export options require an RV Pro membership. Trip planning is not yet available in the mobile app, so you'll need to access the website to export trips.
PDF Export
Export your trip as a PDF to save or print an easy-to-reference list of your stops, dates, and notes.
- Open your trip on the map.
- Click the Print icon (🖨) near the top of the itinerary panel, just below the name of your trip.
- A modal will open with options to print your itinerary or turn-by-turn directions.
- Click Print itinerary and a new window will open with a list of your stops, dates, and notes.
- Go to File > Print or use your computer's print command to open the print settings window.
- You can print the trip guide from here, or change the destination to Save as PDF to save it to your computer.
GPX Export
A GPX file saves GPS data in GPS Exchange format (.GPX), which is an open standard used by many GPS programs. GPX files from Campendium share your waypoint longitude, latitude, name, and address plus the route you created for your trip.
Exporting your trip in a GPX file allows you to view your route exactly as you planned it on Campendium on other GPS apps and devices. Compatibility may vary by device or app.
Note: Unrouted waypoints (stops excluded from the driving route) are not included in the GPX export.
- Open your trip on the map.
- Click the Share icon (↑) near the top of the itinerary panel, just below the name of your trip.
- In the menu that appears, click Export as GPX.
- A pop-up will open with some additional information to consider. Click Export File.
- Your GPX file will download to your computer based on your browser download settings. If you cannot find the downloaded file, check your browser's download settings.
- After the file has downloaded, do not open it. Instead, follow the instructions provided by the manufacturer of your specific GPS device for information on how to upload the GPX file to your device.
You can learn more about uploading GPX files to popular GPS devices at their help centers, linked below:
