What You Can Find on a Campground Page

Every campground, RV park, and camping area on Campendium has its own page with information gathered from the community — real campers who've stayed there and shared what they found. Here's a walkthrough of everything you'll see.

On The Website

From the map, click or tap any pin to see a quick preview popup with the name, photo, rating, and options to save or add to a trip. Click the campground name or photo to open the full page.

You can also navigate directly using the breadcrumb trail at the top of the page: Back to Map / US / [State] / [City].

At the Top of the Page

Name and rating — The campground name appears at the top, and if a location is part of a larger public park system that is noted right below the name. You'll also see its overall star rating and total review count, can can click Write a review to add your own.

Quick tags — At-a-glance badges like "Pets allowed" and "Permit required" that important information.

Action buttons:

  • New trip — Start a trip with this campground as your first stop (if a trip is already open while browsing, you'll see an Add button instead)
  • Save (bookmark icon) — Add to your saved places for later
  • Share — Copy a link or share the page

Photo gallery — Community-submitted photos shown at the top. Click View Gallery to browse all photos, or Add Photo to contribute your own.

The overview section will tell you the Last Paid Price and Longest RV Reported. These figures are based on reports from other reviewers of the location.

You will also find rulesrestrictions, and operating information:

  • Important notes
  • Pad Type
  • Max Stay Limits
  • Posted Max Rig Length Limits
  • Operating season
  • Elevation

Amenities are available here, too. Here you will find information on available hookups, connectivity, recreation, site amenities, facilities, discounts, and pet rules and provisions.

Below the overview stats, a Report problem with listing button lets you flag outdated or incorrect information.

Description

A written description of the campground. This is most often provided by the campground owner or manager. It may also include notes added by Campendium — such as maximum stay limits, eligibility requirements, or overnight parking details.

Reviews

The reviews section is where the community shares firsthand experiences.

Leave a rating — Click the stars to leave a quick star rating. Your rating saves immediately, and you'll be taken to the full review form in case you'd like to add written feedback too — though that part is optional.

Write a review — Opens the full review form to share details about your stay.

Reviews and connectivity summary — Averages the ratings of all reviews and cell phone coverage reports.

Sort reviews — Reviews are sorted by Newest by default. Other sort options:

  • Most helpful
  • Highest rated
  • Lowest rated
  • RV length: longest

Full reviewsratings, and reports from fellow RVers will be found below the Ratings Summary. Note that many reviewers report their price paid per night, length of stay, cellular service rating, and campsite number here.

Sub-ratings give you a more nuanced picture than a single overall score — useful when you care more about quietness than hookup quality, for example.

Nearby Camping

On the right side of the page, a list of other campgrounds in the same area — helpful for finding alternatives or planning nearby stops.

Something Wrong with the Listing?

If you spot incorrect information — wrong address, closed permanently, outdated pricing — use the Report problem with listing button in the Overview section. See What if there is something wrong with a listing? for more details.

On the Mobile App

The full campground page is available in the mobile app. The content is the same — all overview data, amenities, reviews, photos, and the cell coverage summary are present.

A few layout differences to note:

The page opens from a map pin tap or the campground name in a bottom sheet popup. At the bottom of every campground page, a sticky bar shows a prominent Navigate button and a Save (bookmark) button — these stay visible as you scroll.

The photo gallery, View Gallery, and Write a review buttons all work the same way on mobile.
