Knowing what cell service to expect at a campground can be just as important as knowing the hookup situation — especially for full-timers and remote workers. Campendium collects cell coverage data directly from campers who've stayed there.
Where to Find Coverage Info
On any campground page, if a user reported Cell Coverage, you’ll see that rating listed below their review. You'll also see a review and connectivity summary section above the individual reviews, which shows the average based on all user reports.
If you have an RV Pro membership, you can also view coverage while browsing the map:
- After selecting a category, filter by carrier under Cell Coverage in the Filter panel to find campgrounds where your carrier has reported service.
- Use the Cell Coverage map overlays to see coverage areas on the map.
How to Report Coverage
You can update cell coverage data while writing a review.
The review form includes a Cell Coverage section where you can report your signal level for AT&T, Verizon, or T-Mobile. If you used a cell booster, you can note that in your written review. If you don't know about coverage for a particular carrier, leave it blank rather than guessing.
A Note on Accuracy
Cell coverage is highly variable — it changes based on the time of year, network upgrades, terrain, and where exactly on the property you're parked. Coverage data is a useful guide, but conditions at your specific site may differ from what others have reported.
