You'll notice some campgrounds have symbols at the top of the campground review page on the Campendium website. Hovering your mouse over a symbol or icon will show a short description of what it means. Below is a glossary of all the icons you might see while browsing Campendium!

Open seasonally. The location operates on a seasonal basis. Operation may be subject to set dates or could be based on local weather conditions. Seasonal dates are posted in the overview section on Campendium if known. 
adult-only-icon.gif Adults only. There are some restrictions regarding children at the location. See the park's official website for details.
four-wheel-recommended-icon.gif Four Wheel Drive recommended. The location may be best accessed by four-wheel drive and/or high clearance vehicles. We always recommend scouting ahead if access is questionable and this icon indicates the need for extra caution. 
fulltime_residents-icon.gif Full-time residents are present. The location permits RVs to reside year-round or permanently.
MOBILE-HOMES-ICON.gif Mobile homes are present. The location features mobile homes in addition to RV and camping sites. 
permit-required-icon.gif Permit required. This location requires a permit for overnighting. The permit may be fee-based or free. For information on obtaining the necessary permit, see the additional information field on the page, go to the location's Official Website or call the location directly. 
small-rv-icon.gif Small RVs. This location may be inaccessible or restricted from use by larger rigs. If you see this symbol and are worried it might apply to your rig be sure to do extra research! Reading reviews, looking for posted length restrictions on Campendium or the official website, and scouting ahead are all good practice. 
ohv-area-icon.gif OHV area. This camping location permits OHV (off-highway vehicle) use or is adjacent to a location that permits OHV use. 
tent-only-icon.gif Tents only. This camping location permits overnighting in tents or hammocks only. No overnighting in your recreational vehicle is permitted. 
55-plus-icon.gif 55+ park. This park operates with age-based restrictions. 55+ parks typically only require one member of a party to be 55+. They may or may not permit those traveling with children. The park may or may not permit groups under the age of 55. Contact the park directly for more information.
